My Story
I’ve always been a science geek. I got my undergrad degree in food science and nutrition, developed a Quality Control Lab for Nutrisystem, and worked in R&D at Friendly’s Ice Cream.
But that was three careers and two kids ago. While I never lost interest in food science, I struggled to apply it to my own health. I tried the fad diets, the group meetings, the workout tapes — but nothing ever stuck (besides the weight to my thighs!).
A decade ago, in the throes of menopause and fed up with feeling crappy, I decided enough was enough. “I’m a scientist,” I remembered. “I can figure this out.”
Turns out, science had come a long way since my undergrad days. I discovered functional holistic medicine, an approach that focuses on finding the root causes of issues and supporting real lifestyle change. I found the fitness and nutrition habits that worked for me...and I learned that I could use my geekiness to help others.
Using the tools of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN), I, along with experienced FDN advisors, can identify the causal hidden stressors behind chronic conditions like gastrointestinal issues, headaches, diabetes, and more, and find solutions that work for the PERSON, not the disease.
My mission as an FDN practitioner is to stop the cycle of trial and error. By providing education, support, and access to carefully chosen functional labs, I guide my clients on a journey of self-healing. Will you join me? Click here.
